Do Invisible Braces Affect the Way You Speak?

While it will not feel natural the very first time you put the clear alignment trays over your teeth, it is something that you quickly adjust to. You'll soon be speaking normally while wearing the trays, so do not worry about it impacting the way you talk. Can the Plastic Trays Become Stained?

It is normal to have concerns about the look of the plastic alignment trays when they are in your mouth, including if they can become stained. The plastic trays are only in your mouth for a short period of time, so the chances of them becoming stained are very low. As long as you are taking your plastic trays out for eating and drinking, having stained alignment trays will not be a problem. The one thing to know about Invisalign braces is that they do require more work than normal braces. They are not fixed to your teeth, and they must be removed for certain situations. That said, it is just an adjustment that you need to get used to. While the trays must be removed for brushing and eating, you can do all of those things normally. With regular metal braces, you need to carefully thread dental floss between the brackets, or be careful about the food that you eat. Those annoyances may outweigh having to remove invisible braces at certain times during the day.
